Labour trounced-does this mean the UK electorate have started to wake up?

Thirteen years of the incompetent Labour Party have come to an abrupt end, does this mean the UK population are going to rise like a sleeping giant and say no to being fleeced by the Banks, the Treasury, bullied into a police state devoid of rights and liberty or will they just go back to sleep and watch the Nation's further destruction?
