Is the atkins diet healthy?

I want to drop 20-30 pounds in the next 2 months. i have decided to hit the gym and try out something similar to the atkins diet: I eat veggies, and meats for the most part. i drink lots of tea and water and really cut out any other types of foods. When i want sugar i eat atkins chocolate bars or drink his shakes. if im really craving badly, i eat a sandwhich (which requires bread) a peice of fruit (lots of sugar) or toco bell for fast food (pure fat) but usually i am trying to stick with eating more veggies and meat. is this healthy?? If i "usually" stick with this, and the gym about 2-3 times a week, can i drop my goal weight??
