If you own a business you can't name it some thing that is already taken but is it the same with your product?

I crochet and been trying to sale my work, but with every thing out there it is hard for it not to be considered copyright. Having my own ideas and giving the patterns some twists it still seems like i have to do more. So I was told to name my items, and I was wondering if it is copyright to name your product something that is already taken. I know it is for your business but i didn't know if it was the same for a product.
